Sampannee (สัมปันนี) means beloved

Traditionally, this is known as a dessert of nostalgia. From the written story in the ancient days, women usually made Sampannee for their beloved who left home for the war. When eaten it would be slowly melt in the mouth and its subtle sweetness would remind them of the love and care their partners had put into it, and derive comfort from it.

Sampannee is a great sweet to treat your loved ones to show them you are thinking of them. Sampannee means beloved in Thai. It is subtle sweet and melts nicely in your mouth. This is the perfect treat for occasions such as wedding ceremonies, baby showers, gender reveals, birthday parties, afternoon teas, brunches.

We slowly roast tapioca starch and combine with coconut milk and sugar, it was the key process to perfect its melt-in-the-mouth texture. The small amount of jasmine essence and food colours are also added in this stage before we carefully put the mixture into the moulds.
