    Who would not like these joyful sunflower desserts? They not only look exquisite but offer a delicious and delicate flavour.

    Kanomchan (TH: ขนมชั้น) means progression, symbolised in the layered design. These steamed cakes are one of the favourite traditional desserts among Thai people. It is traditionally seen in a square tray and cut into small square pieces. The most popular flavour is Pandan.


    Kanomcham is a soft and chewy Thai dessert. It is mainly used in auspicious events. Auspicious means showing or suggesting that future success is likely. Kanomchan means advancement in career and continued success. It is made up of coconut milk, sugar, tapioca starch, rice flour and arrowroot starch then it is mixed and steamed layer by layer. 


    This dessert would be great for occasions such as birthdays, baby showers, christenings, weddings and so many more.

    One of the key ingredients of Kanomchan is Tapioca starch. Tapioca starch is extracted from the cassava root, and it consists of almost pure carbs and contains very little protein, fibre or other nutrients. Tapioca has become popular as a gluten-free alternative to wheat and other grains.

    Ingredients: coconut milk (coconut extract 70%, water, emulsifier E435), tapioca starch, rice flour, arrowroot starch, sugar, food colours
